TrapSaver™

Our TrapSaver™ solution is based on a reserve buoy inside the buoy to be uses on any fishing trap.

If the main buoy is submerged for any reason the reserve buoy is immediately releases and the main rope is extended with extra meters of rope  and the fisherman can retrieve the submerged unit eliminating the trap becoming a ghost trap.

It prevent ghost gear loss before it happens, instead of dealing with it afterwards, thus getting rid of ghost nets.

Why use TrapSaver™? NorTrap AS provides a way of mitigating the loss of fishing gear, thereby avoiding economic loss as well as reducing ghost fishing which negatively affects biomass and future income.
You can use TrapSaver with any trap without needing to change or modify the trap in any way. TrapSaver requires no maintenance and is designed to operate automatically. Simply replace the original buoy with the TrapSaver buoy, and your task is complete.
