Our offshore PopupBuoy™ solution is based on a reserve buoy inside the buoy to be uses on any submerges unit.

If a unit stays submerged for an extended periode the backup buoy is released by our ATR™ solution. (Automatic Time Release).

The reserve buoy floats to the surface with an rope attached to the submerged unit, and the equipment can then be easily located and retrieved from the sea.

Why use PopupBuoy Offshore?

We've designed PopupBuoy buoys specifically for the commercial fishing industry. Pulling up crab traps from the Bering Sea when the waves are as high as 30 feet can be extremely perilous. That's why we've come up with the HD buoy, which comes with an extra buoy attached. This setup enables the crew to retrieve traps more efficiently and safely, ultimately reducing the wear and tear on your equipment and with the secondary buoy buildtin they have a second chance if gear is lost at sea.
